Alcadio Gonzalez, Jr., 58 of Fort White, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born in the Bronx, New York and was a longtime resident of Miami before moving to Fort White ten years ago. Alcadio attended the Christ Central Espanol Church in Lake City. He loved his pets, gardening, watching war movies, reading books and listening to music. Alcadio lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Julio Acevedo.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Gonzalez, Fort White; his mother, Esmeralda Anta, Fort White; five children, Esmeralda Gonzalez, Ocala, Alcadio Gonzalez, Jr. (Lynette), Ocala, Daniel Gonzalez, Fort White, Justin Gonzalez, Lake City and Lisa Cunningham, Miami; four siblings, Maria Duenas (Juan), Fort White, Evelyn Acevedo, Miami, Julio Acevedo (Sylvia), Miami and Sonia Lando (Manuel), Fort White; and four grandchildren, Julian, Jermaine, Sophia and Nova.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Albert Padin of Christ Central Espanol officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
