Mrs. Zeluan “Zeke” Roberts, 82, of Lake City died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City following a lengthy illness. Born in Ft. White to the late Carl Columbus and Wilma Douglas Cason, she lived in Ft. White for 18 years before moving to Lake City. Zeke was retired from Child Support Enforcement Services with the State of Florida following 22 years of service. She was a longtime member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was the pianist for 46 years, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Zeke was preceded in death by her husband William C. “Bill” Roberts in 1982, and her son Joey Roberts in 2016.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her sons, Bill Roberts, Jr. of Lake City, and Wesley Roberts (Pam) of Branford; daughter in law, Becky Roberts of Lake City; 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brother, Wyles Cason (Becki) of Ft. White; sisters, Dorothy Raymos, and Kate Alexander (Bert) all of Lake City.
Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake City with Reverend Ron Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Lake City. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
