Scarlett Esther Huntman-LaVite, age 51, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, while on vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Scarlett was born July 9, 1964, in Kingston, New York. She was the Best Drama Teacher at Gulf Coast High School in Naples, FL. Scarlett truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, shopping, teacher and friend to all her students and the beach, her favorite place besides the stage, and acting her ultimate love was being on the stage. Scarlett had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She was a real Dallas Cowboy fan and always had a beautiful smile on her beautiful face. She is our shining star and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her, Father, Michael Huntman, Mother, Dorothea Huntman, Sister, Heather Huntman-Craig (Scott Craig), Niece, Kierstin Erdozain-Bedenbaugh (Dylan), Nephew(s), Colby Craig & Cory Craig; many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and loads of friends.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Scarlett touched are invited to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17th, 2015, to reminisce, grieve and support each other. Visitation with the family will be from 2:30 to 3:00 pm prior to the service on Tuesday.
