Mrs. Sarah Earline “Cookie” McPhearson, passed away August 11, 2016 at her home following a long illness. She was a Columbia High School graduate and lifelong resident of Columbia County. She worked for DJ Benz for 20 years and later for the United States Postal Service in Lake City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl L. Harvey, Sr.; her mother, Mary Louise Hunter; her sister, Patricia Diane Harvey Davis; and a daughter, Sarah Ann.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Aaron McPhearson, Lake City; two sisters, Adonna Harvey Smith, Lake City and Quinn Ford, Wellborn; two brothers, Earl L. Harvey (Karen Chappel), Gainesville and Charles Harvey, Wellborn; five daughters, Angie Braham, Lake City, Rowena Countryman, Tallahassee, Mary Haines, Lake City, Staci McPhearson Greene (James Greene), Lake City and Patty Hetrick (Chris Hetrick), Lake City; one son, Kevin McPhearson (Cinnamon), Bell; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 23 nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center, 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
