Ronald James Keiter

MGYSGT RONALD “RON” JAMES KEITER USMC (RET), age 68, of Lake City, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017.

  A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 7th, at  Christ Central Ministries, 217 SW Dyal Ave., Lake City, Florida. Visitation will be held at 12pm with the Service starting at 1pm.

  Ron was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida, to Kermit and Margaret “Peggy” Keiter. During his 27 year career as a US Marine, Ron met and married Mary Sue Evans on November 19, 1971.  Ron’s passions were faith, family and the Marine Corps.

  Ron is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue “Sue”, his son Brian Thrasher (Cassy) of Kingman, AZ, his daughters, Billie Thrasher of Palmer, AK, Angela Land (Kenny) of Lake City, FL, Wendi Bernal (Oscar) of Imperial, CA, brothers Terry Keiter (Doris) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Gary Keiter (Charlotte) of Fernandina Beach, FL. Ron is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceeded in death by his parents, Kermit E and Peggy Keiter and brother Kermit L Keiter.
