Randall A. “Randy” Christie, 63 of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center. He was born in Lake City and was a lifelong resident of North Florida. Randy was a graduate of Suwannee County High School class of 1972 and he attended the University of Florida. He worked for twelve years with Tri-State Electric in Lake City. Randy was of the Assembly of God faith and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Florida Gator sports fan and he enjoyed golfing when he was younger, playing basketball and swimming. Randy was always a loving and understanding husband. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Christie.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Angela “Angie” Christie, Lake City; his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Christie, Lake City; his sister, Rhonda Busscher (Ronny), Lake City; his mother and father in law, Florence Drisko (Richard), Lake City; his sister in law, Melissa Munch (Harry), Cocoa, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dustin Busscher, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 Noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
