Mary Lucille Rine

Mrs. Mary Lucille Rine, 82, of Lake City died Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Haven Suwannee Valley Care Center. A native of Piketon, OH, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Earl and Minnie Belle McNelly Locke and had lived in Lake City since 1979. Mrs. Rine retired after teaching in the Columbia County School System for 23 years, and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and travelling with her beloved husband Jim. Mrs. Rine was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Estel and Lester Locke, and sister Dorothy Maynard.

Mrs. Rine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jim Rine of Lake City; sons, Mark Lorin Rine (Colleen) of Topeka, KS and Marvin Neal Rine of Lake City; daughter, Martha Lorine Rine of Lake City; grandchildren, Morgan Stalvey, Cameron Teems, and Melanie Hasselman; great grandchildren, Addison and Avery Hasselman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rine will be conducted on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Chapel with Reverend Jim Walker officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 Monday evening at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be held in Bethel Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church (Memo-Florida Methodist Childrens Home), 973 S. Marion Ave., Lake City, FL 32025.
