Linda Beth Douberly

Linda Douberly, Lakeland Florida, died Wednesday July 12, 2017 at her home after a long illness. Linda was born on August 29, 1944 in Lake City, Florida to the late Bascom Guy and Fronie Elma Moore of Lake City.

Linda pursued many hobbies including being an avid reader, drawing and painting, photography, and her family genealogy. Linda attended Columbia County High School, received a secondary degree in drafting while living in Chicago, and attended Lake City Community College. She was a Certified Residential Contractor in the state of Florida. She worked as a Draftsperson at Hale Land Surveying, an Engineering Technician at Occidental Chemical Corp., and as a Contractor with Zimmerman & Associates, Inc. before retiring in 2010

Linda is survived by her husband, Cecil Douberly, Lakeland, Florida, son Robert Timmons, daughter Deborah Lynch (Cameron), High Springs, Florida, step-son Christopher Douberly, Lakeland, Florida, and step-brother James Adams, Jacksonville Florida. She is also survived by one grandchild Jackelyn Martinez (Tomas), two step grandchildren Brandon and Lamanda Douberly, and 2 great-grandchildren Carman and Tomas Martinez. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnoll Moore and John Moore.

If there was one word that describes Linda Douberly, that word would be responsibility. She was absolutely committed to providing and caring for her loved ones and processed a passion to “doing it right.”

The grave side funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday July 17, 2017 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lake City, Florida.
