Judith “Judy” Ann Shackelford

Judith “Judy” Ann Shackelford, 52, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday morning, December 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Newark, New Jersey to Loretta Marrone and the late Jack Marinaro. She has lived in Lake City since 2003, moving here from South Florida. She was a legal secretary for twenty years, but was mainly a homemaker for most of her life. She loved her horses, Doberman Pinchers and was an all-around animal lover. She was a member of Christ Central Ministries and was a volunteer in the church coffee shop. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years; Daniel Shackelford of Lake City; son; Daniel Shackelford, II, of Gainesville; daughters; Brooke Shackelford of Lake City and Christen Cardenas of Gainesville; mothers; Loretta Walters of Lake City; granddaughter; Alexis Dowd of Lake City. Two brothers; John Marinaro (Jelena) of South Florida and Jay Marinaro of South Florida along with many extended family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shackelford will be conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Christ Central Ministries Church with Pastor Lonnie Johns and Pastor Dustin Busscher officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. (two hours prior to the services) at the church.
