Josephine Pearce “Joey” Graham, 66 of Lulu, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Haven Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City following a brief illness. She was born in Columbia County, Florida to the late Gus M. Pearce and Louise Edna Regar Pearce. Ms Graham was a lifelong resident of the Lulu Community, a graduate of Union County High School class of 1969 and a member of the Lulu Baptist Church. She worked for 25 years with the Alachua County Public Works and retired as a supervisor in 2016. Ms Graham enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughters, reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie David Pearce and one sister, Alvia Jean Pearce Cheshire.
Survivors include her son, Chris Graham (Christie), Lulu; three brothers, John Pearce (Judy), Jim Pearce and Ernest Pearce all of Lulu; two sisters, Grace Pearce Lovett, Miami and Geraldine Pearce Albright, Lake City; two granddaughters, Natalie and Maysen Graham both of Lulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Lulu Baptist Church with Pastor Zeb Cook, Hopeful Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery, Union County, Florida. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lulu Baptist Church at 160 SE Gillen Terr., Lulu, FL 32061 or Haven Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
