Jack and I worked through many though issues together. He was my friend and I will miss him. He was a kind man who stood up for his beliefs and was always there if you needed a hand. I was fortunate to have met him. Megan

The bravest person I have ever known. The last nine months I got to spend a lot of time with Jack and Sondra. He faced enormous challenges with a resolve and determination that spoke volumes about the man. He was level headed, loyal and opinionated. You may not always agree with Jack but you respected his position and knew where he stood. He loved Bluebird and worked tirelessly to make it succeed. He was also the envy of the community because he owned every mechanical toy a man could hope for.

Jack, may you kayak, scuba dive, ride horses, bike, mow fields and be surrounded by God's creatures in your new place. Rest in peace friend. We miss you.

I'm sorry to hear of Jack's passing and will miss talking to him at CH2M Hill retiree gatherings. Jack was regional manager in Florida when I joined CH2M Hill in 1986. Though Jack wasn't involved directly in my work, he took the time to check on me periodically and offer guidance and assistance on issues I faced. I really appreciated his taking a personal interest in me and respected his soft spoken advice.

Always kind and so very helpful to us from the first time we met him, we will all miss Jack. I especially remember the time I put gas in our diesel mower, Frank was gone and I ran to Jack for help, quick, before I ruined the mower. He got on his knees and was mouth siphoning fuel and spitting it out, trying to beat an impending storm. Needless to say, we both got wet, and he got a mouthful of diesel, but he got it out and the mower lived. Now that's a neighbor and a friend! Our community will not be the same without him. Sally loved him and even visited him in the hospital...she will still get a treat from Sondra but will always miss Jack, who really had a soft spot for her (he called her a "sports model"). Peace and many happy memories to you, Sondra and Jim. We are always just a phone call away. Love, Frank, Valerie and Jack

Sondra, you and Jack were our "go-to" guys for learning everything we wanted to fully understand about Bluebird before we bought in 2003. You were already there, and we relied on you for honest answers to our questions.
That same relationship continued through all these years and Jack continued close communications with me on all major issues being confronted in Bluebird, including our legal actions which incredibly have just been reconciled.
I recognize Jack in all the descriptions provided by others above. A really good man has left us; We will miss him..

Sondra,
I am so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. It was an honor and great pleasure to have the opportunity to work with and to get to know him. One thing that always shined through in all my encounters with Jack was his beautiful love for you and his family. He was a role model for all. Honest, kind, benevolent, trustworthy, loyal, I could go on and on. I will miss Jack very much.

May the peace of our Lord which passes all understanding abide with you and your family always. Godspeed Jack.

Sondra, so sorry to hear about Jack. Haven't seen you two in years, but will always remember our time on Dusty Trail. You two were so good to us when we retired from the Navy. Sue is always telling someone about you girls canoeing and the good times you had. Jack was a really good man, and I know you will be lost without him after all your years together, but remember the good times you had. Please let us know if we can do anything.

Jack was like a big brother to me growing up in Miami with my cousin Sondra. He taught me how to drive and has always been there for me. His kindness and big smile will always remain in my heart. He was never too busy to help someone in need. Also loved animals and this earth but now he will be a special Angel with God. He will be deeply missed.

Jack was a fine man in every way. His and Sondra's stay in Texas was far too short, but I know their hearts are in Florida. We miss them. And 'tho 80 years is a respectable life span, it seems far to short for somebody like Jack. Many people have benefited from his having lived. Rest in peace, my friend. Sondra, may you find peace in wonderful memories. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
