Hazel Marie Hutchison

Our Mom, Hazel Marie Hutchison, 85, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Mom was a true Southern lady. She wore no white after Labor Day and cooked turnip greens picked from her own garden.  She was a long time resident of Lake City but lived most of her life in Jacksonville.  Mom was an active member of Garden City Baptist Church while in Jacksonville and Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake City.  From volunteering as PTA president, serving as a Band Mother, Team Mother and as head of many different church committees, she always had a helping hand and charitable heart extended for all. Spending most of her working days in retail sales, her greatest joy was her family.  Married in 1949 to our dad, Wilbur John Lindemann (1931-1997), they had three children, Debra Marie, Candence Marie and Michael John (1955-2016).

Mom is survived by her current husband, John Hardy Hutchison and two daughters (Debby and Candie), six grandchildren (Ricky, Jenny, Robyn, Bryan, Lauren and Austin) and four great-grandchildren (Ricky Jr., Michael, Olivia and Noah) and one sister, Lu Verne Mallow of Bradenton.  She also leaves behind her fur babies, Chrissy and Max, who were among her greatest joys. It is of great comfort to know that she has been reunited with her son, Mike, as she enters her new home. Her sudden passing has left a huge void in our hearts and lives but her legacy will continue through all of the lives she has touched and the wonderful memories she has left us with.   

Graveside services, officiated by her pastor Ron Thompson, for Mom will be held Monday, June 26, 2017, 11AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Road.
