Mrs. Greta Montez Cleghorn Bryan, 69, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 3, 2017 at the Haven Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Cullman County, Alabama on April 10, 1948 to the late Felton and Eunice Cleghorn. She has lived in Lake City since 1987, moving here from Dallas, Texas. When she moved here with her husband, she purchased Mary’s Flowers which she owned and operated for many years. She spent her life doing what she loved as a hairdresser, including working and traveling with Revlon for many years. She is preceded in death by her brother; George Edwin Cleghorn.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years; John Bryan; two daughters; Stephanie Erskin and Whitney Bryan; three brothers; Jimmy Cleghorn, Kerry Cleghorn, and Butch Cleghorn; three grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Katelyn Bush, Taylor Bush and Preston Erskin. Many extended family members and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family asks that anyone wishing to honor or pay their respects to please consider a donation to the American Breast Cancer Foundation in Mrs. Bryan’s name.
