Lake City Reporter Obituary Notice

Mrs. Annie Lee Bentley, 81 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, FL.  She was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Rufus and Lucy Edward Sparks.  Mrs. Bentley was a retired Medical Assistant and had made her home in Lake City for the past 23 years having previously lived in Miami.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bennie Lee Bentley, Lake City; one son, Allen D. Bentley (Bobbie) Lawrenceville, GA; two daughters, Cassandra B. Morehead (Wayne), Atlanta, GA and Karyl D. Bentley, Lilburn, GA; one brother, Tommy Lee Graham; four sisters, Bernice Wells (Paul), Lucille Brown, Cora Frazier and Frances Moss; four grandchildren, Katrina Bentley, Andrew Bentley, Janson Morehead and Khalen Morehead and one great grandson, Jabari Bentley-Felts also survives. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Isadore Williams, pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening October 7, 2015 from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 am on Thursday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US Hwy 441, Lake City.  Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com
